Hello my name is Ron Ingels. I grew up in La Verne and graduated from Bonita High School before becoming a full-time reserve La Verne policeman in 1971. I joined the regular force 18 months later. I earned a bachelor’s in public administration from the University of La Verne and served as a corporal, sergeant and lieutenant before being named La Verne Police Chief in July 1992. I retired from the La Verne Police Force in July 2005 and joined the county D.A. office in September 2006. I am proud to serve now as Board Chairperson for the Inland Valley Humane Society & SPCA where I can make a direct impact on the lives of our homeless animals.
