Pact act makes animal cruelty a federal offense
Nov. 25, 2019, Washington, D.C. – A huge step for animal welfare has ensued. Animal Cruelty is now a federal felony as part of the PACT Act signed into law by President Trump. The bipartisan bill, Preventing Animal Cruelty and Torture (PACT) Act, was unanimously approved by both the House and the Senate, and is a victory in the movement to end acts of animal abuse.
