December 1, 2017, Chino, CA – An emaciated 15 year old gelding was found tied up to a telephone pole on Hellman Avenue in the city of Chino.
A call came in around 10:00 pm on Thursday night to the Inland Valley Humane Society’s emergency line. The horse was abandoned and left without food or water. It is unknown how long the horse had been tied up.
Inland Valley Humane Society & SPCA officers responded and rescued the sick horse, who was also suffering from open sores and lameness in his hind legs. The horse is currently being treated by veterinarians and will remain under the Humane Society’s care pending an investigation.
