The Big Meow, a $40 spay and neuter program, is offered to the community as a start to finding a solution for cat overpopulation.
Signups for the next Big Meow can be made in vet services.
The Big Meow is open to residents of the following cities:
Chino, Chino Hills, Claremont, Diamond Bar, Glendora, La Verne, Montclair, Ontario, Pomona, San Dimas, and the unincorporated areas of San Bernardino County including West End, San Antonio Heights, and Mt. Baldy. (Must have proof of residency) You must make your appointment in our office prior to the spay or neuter date. Payment is required at the time of appointment and is non-refundable.
In addition to each no-cost spay and neuter, cats receive free FVRCP & rabies vaccinations, one month supply of Frontline for flea and tick control, basic medical care at time of surgery and microchip.
- Cats must be 4 months – 4 years of age.
- In cities requiring a cat license (Diamond Bar, Pomona & La Verne) all cats over 4 months must have a current license.
- Maximum of 3 per household.
- Owned, outdoor cats only (no feral wild cats will be accepted).
- Cats must be in a properly secured kennel or carrier.
- Cats must be microchipped.
Space is limited and is subject to first come first serve basis. No phone calls please.
- Come to the shelter (leave your cat at home). The Inland Valley Humane Society & SPCA sign up hours are 9:30 am – 12:00 pm Monday through Friday.
- Fill out the paperwork.
- Provide proof of residency.
Drop off times are between the hours of 7:00 am – 8:30 am, pick up is the same day between 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm.
